This is an exciting time for Interstate Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading independent hotel operators with nearly 500 hotels under management worldwide. We are creating a new position within our Shared Service Center (SSC) team located in Las Colinas, Texas. The VP for Accounting Process Improvements & Operational Excellence will play a key leadership role in developing a continuous process improvement culture in our SSC, and will work closely with finance, information technology and operations leaders around the company to support the successful transitions of hotels under Interstate management.
The VP will coordinate efforts for a cross-functional team of accounting and IT associates who are focused on identifying and implementing various projects and initiatives to create more effective and efficient processes to better serve our managed hotels and their owners. He/she will assist in the prioritization of projects, ensure that projects align with the technology that best provides maximum return on investment and are in support of the overall business strategy. The senior director will also provide project management experience and structure to ongoing projects, including support with requirements gathering and project execution as well as maintaining appropriate documentation per project management standards.
In addition, the position will oversee SSC efforts in support of hotel transitions, including tracking all hotels in transition as well as establishing and maintaining transition checklists to ensure all SSC functions are appropriately involved.
The VP will also work with SSC leaders to document business processes and identify key metrics to ensure expected SSC service levels are maintained or exceeded.
