And, your ability to grasp client needs is well matched with your knowledge of hotel property offerings and banquet operations. You capture the vision and communicate critical details between all parties without missing a beat. As Executive Meeting Manager, you would be well positioned to grow your sales experience, while working closely with Interstate’s talented Sales and Marketing team.

As Executive Meeting Planner, you will

  • Use your sales prowess and flair for relationship building to develop, capture and secure new and repeat business, maximizing sales revenue and achieving financial goals. Exercise your power of persuasion in negotiating room rates, catering prices and group sales terms, optimizing space and maximizing revenue.
  • Connect with people in a meaningful way, continually innovating to expand the reach of corporate, business and travel industry accounts, tapping into community organizations and the media to elevate the property’s market share awareness and drive further business.
  • Capture the client’s vision and effectively convey specifications to appropriate departments, rapidly responding to inquiries, concerns, and issues, ensuring an exceptional client experience and driving future sales. Skillfully prepare and execute sales contracts, event orders, and group resumes.
  • Channel your inner-creative to develop outstanding events and meetings and execute them to the delight of your client.    

Fundamentals

A four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience is required, with a minimum of one year’s sales or catering experience in a related position.  Excellent written, verbal English communication and presentation skills are needed to be successful in this role.  Regular use of computer, business software and equipment is expected. This position requires full mobility and driving occasionally.
